We are thrilled to announce that Martin Palmer, a globally recognized expert in trade compliance, customs operations, and supply chain security, has officially joined the CustomAI External Advisory Board (EAB).
With over 40 years of experience across global logistics, distribution, and international trade compliance, Martin brings deep practical insight to CustomAI. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held senior leadership roles, including Global Export Controls and Customs Director at TNT Express, where he shaped and executed global compliance strategies. Today, Martin is the Co-Founder and Board Member of Hurricane Modular Commerce Ltd—a leading pioneer in cross-border e-commerce classification and compliance technologies—and founder of Supply Chain Compliance Ltd.
Beyond his commercial leadership, Martin has collaborated extensively with enforcement agencies, intergovernmental organizations, and NGOs to combat illicit trade, counter-proliferation, and wildlife trafficking. He also serves as Thematic Chapter Rapporteur for Customs and Product Security for the Universal Postal Union (UPU) Consultative Committee in Bern, Switzerland.
Bridging Innovation, Compliance, and Commercial Trade
Martin’s expertise spans export controls, intellectual property rights, e-commerce logistics, and customs security programs. As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and a member of the Chartered Institute of Export and International Trade, his operational perspective will help ensure CustomAI’s risk anticipation models and parcel-tracking mechanisms deliver high-precision threat detection without disrupting legitimate trade flows.
“Customs and compliance are not just operational necessities—when done right through innovative technology, they provide genuine commercial value and security. I am excited to advise the CustomAI team as they develop smart, AI-driven solutions that address the real-world complexities of modern cross-border trade.”
— Martin Palmer
We are honored to welcome Martin to the External Advisory Board and look forward to his insights as we advance the next generation of AI tools for customs authorities.
