What is your ISDEFE’s core expertise, and what unique knowledge, technology, or capabilities do you bring to CustomAI?
ISDEFE brings deep expertise in security-focused systems engineering and public-sector innovation support, with a strong track record of translating operational realities into actionable specifications for complex, multi-stakeholder environments. In CustomAI, our added value is the ability to bridge the “operations–technology–governance” gap: structuring end-user input, capturing real customs workflows and constraints, and turning them into clear, testable requirements that technology partners can implement with confidence.
What is your specific role in the project, and what is the single most exciting outcome you hope to achieve with the results of CustomAI?
ISDEFE leads the task dealing with End-User Requirements within the Work Package devoted to “Use Case Requirements and Toolkit Framework Design,” coordinating the structured elicitation and consolidation of input from customs end-users across the three pilots. Our work ensures that CustomAI’s toolkit—covering elements such as the VCCO concept, AI-enabled risk anticipation, and non-intrusive inspection workflows—reflects operational reality and can be validated against concrete acceptance criteria and KPIs.
We are also involved in enabling adoption through end-user training and capacity-building activities later in the project, supporting the sustainable uptake of results.
The most exciting outcome for ISDEFE is delivering an end-user-validated requirements baseline that becomes a reliable blueprint for development and pilot validation—so the final solution is not only innovative, but also deployable, trusted, and operationally effective in real customs environments.
If you had to summarise your organization’s enthusiasm for this project in one sentence, what would it be?
“ISDEFE is proud to help build CustomAI on deep end-user understanding—turning frontline operational needs into requirements that make AI-driven customs control both effective and practical.”
