What is your specific role in the project and what is the single most exciting outcome you hope to achieve with the tools developed in CustomAI?
INDRA plays a pivotal role in embedding AI-enhanced predictive analytics into customs platforms, such as Spain’s Custos system, to automate container selection for inspection. We contribute to:
- Risk-based decision support systems
- Integration of AI dashboards for customs officers
- Pilot implementation and validation at the Port of Valencia
- Alignment of hardware technologies with vapour detection and scanning systems
The most exciting outcome? Transforming customs control into a smarter, faster, and more accurate process—reducing false positives and enabling authorities to focus resources where they matter most. By integrating AI into real-world workflows, we aim to set a new benchmark for efficiency and security in international trade.
